Senior Finance Business Partner Logistics (m/f/d)

Are you skilled at utilizing financial insights to drive decision-making across multiple functions? In this role, your exceptional business partnering and communication abilities will be highly valued. Naturally, a strong foundation in financial analysis and a wealth of experience are essential.
How will you make an impact?
You will be based in Düsseldorf and report to the Finance Director for Logistics, who is based in DK. In the role, you are both a member of the DE Logistics Leadership Team and the Global Logistics Finance Team with colleagues across the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands. Our Logistics operation covers inbound milk collection, warehouses, outbound distribution to our customers and intermediate transportation of both raw materials and finished goods.
Your responsibility
Responsible for month-end close, forecasting (quarterly) and supporting/driving the business in delivery of cost and sustainability targets
Acting as a trusted business partner to the Senior Director DE Logistics, and as a member of the DE Logistics Leadership team.
Act as a trusted partner to Senior Logistics Manager NL.
Play an active role in the development of the logistics concepts programme to improve processes and give greater insights to our cost drivers and enable cost reduction.
Take a leading role within the cross markets logistics workstreams, sharing best practice and standardise processes to enable Global Logistics Finance to deliver on business plan ambitions
Leading and empowering a team of highly experienced finance business partners, ensuring that all financial activities are aligned with our strategic goals and objectives, enabling us to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
Collaborating with stakeholders across the DE and NL organisation & wider Global Supply Chain to drive financial performance and achieve ambitious business goals. This includes participation in cross-functional projects and workstreams across Arla to shape our direction and ensure financial clarity.
Support sustainability and Capex process improvements.
Facilitate dialogue with commercial on insights and improvement suggestions and contribute to commercial business cases.
Collaborate with Production Finance on business cases to enable holistic business decisions.
Your profile
We look forward to receiving applications from candidates with a higher degree in Economics, with 8+ years of working experience as a finance business partner (or in a similar position) translating operations performance data into business cases and actions
Ideally you gained first leadership experience within a global FMCG matrix organization or in a logistics / supply chain environment.
Through your experience, you developed great skills in understanding the business of your peers, allowing you to advise and challenge their financial performance to earn credibility as a trusted advisor.
You work independently and are self-driven, offering detailed solutions, always considering the big picture of the business needs.
You will be a proficient user of all MS Office Applications and will have advanced Excel skills. Knowledge and experience of working with SAP would also be an advantage.
Finally, business-fluent German and English skills complement your profile.
