Are you passionate about advancing scientific research in biotic stress trait development? Do you have a keen eye for protein-protein interactions and like to work at the cutting edge of plant science? KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is searching for a talented and motivated Technical Assistant (m/f/d) to join our team at our global headquarters in Einbeck, Germany.
This is a full-time position with an initial 2-year fixed-term contract, potentially leading to a permanent role. We're excited to fill it as soon as possible!
Aufgaben
Your responsibilities:
- Design and plan experiments while ensuring precise documentation of results
- Perform cloning of constructs and genetic transformation of bacteria and fungi
- Express and purify proteins using diverse systems
- Conduct in Planta Co-Immunoprecipitation experiments
- Execute SDS-PAGE and Western blot analyses
- Carry out enzymatic assays with accuracy and efficiency
- Contribute to general lab maintenance
Profil
Bring in your potential:
- Completed training as ATA, LTA, BTA, bachelor’s or master’s degree in life science or any other comparable qualifications
- Know-how and hands-on experience in working with proteins and protein interaction techniques
- Knowledge in the field of plant-pathogen interactions and experience with plant pathogenic fungi is plus
- High level of motivation and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Good communication skills in both German and English
